JL Sean Slattery

Mr. Slattery represents clients from a broad range of industries, including technology, service, manufacturing, agricultural, insurance and automotive. Mr. Slattery also serves as general counsel for many small business and industry leaders. His experience includes preparing many cases for trial and binding arbitration. He has a strong command of litigation strategies designed to be dispositive of the dispute prior to protracted, expensive litigation. Prior to founding Carlsbad Law Group, LLP, Mr. Slattery developed and honed his advocacy skills while working as an attorney at one of the world’s most respected law firms, Winston & Strawn, LLP.

Mr. Slattery received his B.A. in communication from the University of California, San Diego in 1993. Mr. Slattery earned his J.D. in 2000 from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he graduated with honors and ranked 21 in a graduating class of over 200. In addition, he was a member of the Catholic University Law Review. During law school, Mr. Slattery also worked in the highly coveted law clerk position in the legal department of Amtrak in Washington, DC.

Mr. Slattery is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice law in all California’s state and federal courts. He is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.

In his spare time, Mr. Slattery enjoys spending time with his two children and loving wife. He also enjoys surfing, golfing, basketball and kickboxing.
